Podium in OKJ for Lennox Racing Team in the second round of RGMMC’s Champions Of The Future

Trinec is always a hard appointment due to the unique characteristics of the track. The team worked hard to adapt at its best, showing remarkable progress. Our drivers for this race were Luis Castellini, Raul Zunzarren, Noah Wolfe, Matus Ryba, and Matias Orjuela in OKJ.

Wolfe was one of the protagonists of the weekend in the Czech Republic. Noah started with a very solid P5 in his qualifying group (P15 overall), showing since from Friday a remarkable pace, but most of all were brutally constant during the heats with three 3rd spots and overall five top 5 placements out of 5 races: impressive showdown, achieved thanks to a combination of great attitude and perfect setup. On Sunday, after another P3 in the Prefinal Wolfe build up his masterpiece in the Final with an amazing performance, which secured him his first podium with the team under the heavy rain: Noah was superbly in wet conditions, ending his weekend with a well-deserved P2.

Strong speed and great courage also for Orjuela, who was able to put on track one of the most exciting performances of the weekend. After an overall P21 in practice, Matias kept the pace of the best on track even during all the heats conquering a couple of top 6 placements and closing the heats in the 26th spot. Then, on Sunday, the Colombian driver kept his real masterpiece for the final race: after a lot of aggressive overtakes and an astonishing comeback, Orjuela made up 19 places ending in P12, one of his best career results.

Not an easy weekend for our other drivers, who were all put in great difficulty by extremely punishing weather and track conditions. Despite their great attitude and excellent ability to work with the team, Castellini, Blascos, Zunzarren, Ryba were not able to show their real potential and manage in the best possible way some tricky situations, which cost them the possibility to achieve a positive result. A setback that does not affect their growth path and that they will surely forget already from the next races.

Jordon Lennox-Lamb, Team Manager: “We are finally managing to stay on the podium, our real goal since we set up this project. Noah has been fantastic: the rain on this track can turn into a real trap, but he has always been solid and determined to catch this important result for himself and for the team. Our setup this year has already given us great satisfaction and I’m sure that we will be able to continue to grow in terms of performance”.
